SINGAPORE DAY TRIP : PART 1
Honestly I really enjoyed and miss this trip so much! It was one of my best trip for this year.
Even though this trip was 11 months ago!? Lol! Like a new year trip for 2019. Hahahaha.
Should plan something for 2020 new year trip (psst, please notice this husband)
This trip was exactly on 1st January! We went there early morning and reach home late night. Lol.
But it's worth I tell ya!
1. Larkin Sentral
We park the car at Larkin Sentral and took city bus to Singapore.
Please buy mineral water before you go to Singapore. It's waaaaaay cheaper! Bukan susah pun, beli dalam 1-2 botol kecik sumbat je dalam bag. 1 botol mineral water pun dah SGD1-SGD3 tau? Itu pun air reverse osmosis. I beli air mineral dan roti siap-siap. Sebab tak semua kedai kat Singapore tu halal ya? You better ask before you buy.
Rate parking tak ingat lah pula, sejam dalam RM2 kalau tak silap.
From Larkin, we took Causeway Link Bus to Queens Street. Semua tu menuju ke arah sama which are Kranji/Queen Street (Bugis Street)/ Newton Circus. The bus will stop at the Woodland checkpoint and will continue the journey once you done at immigration part.
Masa ni korang memang kena cepat, jangan nak jalan lembab. Bas tinggal dah satu hal nak kena tunggu bas lain. Tiket bas sila simpan! Sebab nanti masa kat Woodland, nak naik bas nanti driver akan check ticket. Tak kisah lah kalau masa kat Larkin tu naik bas nombor plat lain, sampai Woodland naik bas yang nombor plat lain. As long as naik bas dari company yang sama. Kalau dari Larkin naik Causeway Link, kat Woodland pun naik lah Causeway Link.
Unless if you took SBS Transit 170 Bus kat Larkin tapi bila kat Woodland nak naik Causeway Link, memang kena bayar.
Kalau korang nak turun kat MRT Kranji, tiket bas Causeway Link tu cuma RM1.90. Tapi kalau naik SBS Transit 170 harga dia $2.30
Kalau nak turun kat Queen Street (Bugis Street), harga tiket Causeway Link RM3.40 dan kalau naik SBS Transit 170 harganya $2.60
If you ask me, I'd prefer naik Causeway Link. Sebab boleh bayar duit Malaysia. Make sure you have small change ya, including Singapore dollar. Sebab kalau naik bas harga $1.20 korang pulak ada $2.00 memang dia takkan pulangkan baki. Sistem bas kat sana kena masukkan duit dalam satu mesin which is no change will be given. Kalau you ada $5 masa tu, tiket bas cuma $0.90. Ha padan muka terkilan. Jadinya prepare lah siap-siap.
2. MRT Kranji
It's an interchange station.
Train to: Marina South Pier/Toa Payoh/Ang Mo Kio/Jurong East
Bus to: Jurong East/Queen Street/Boon Lay/Choa Chu Kang/Marina Centre/Geylang/Larkin/CIQ/JB Sentral
3. Queen Street (Bugis Street)
This is one of the famous place to visit in Singapore. Bugis Street Market is well known for being one of the cheapest places in Singapore. Ala macam lebih kurang Bazar Karat JB. They have Bugis Junction Mall as well. Sini pun best sebab selalu ada festival. Masa I pergi tu ada festival macam fun fair.
I tak pernah pun beli makanan kat Bugis ni. Sebab tak yakin. Tapi I ada google tempat makan yang halal area sini.
1. WOK HEY (Bugis Junction)
Quick meal on-the-go!
Specialty: Stir fried noodle/rice
2. Soup Spoon (Bugis Junction)
Specialty: Soup (Boston Clam Chowder/Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff
3. Tuk Tuk Cha (Bugis Junction)
It's a Thai cafe!
Specialty: Thai Milk Tea/Yammama (Dry stir fried instant noodles with chilli and seafood)/Tom Yum Chicken Rice Bowl/Shibuya Toast topped with ice cream
4. Boat Noodle SG (Bugis Junction)
As you know this is one of the famous shop at Malaysia too!
Price: $1.30 for each bowl
5. Big Fish Small Fish (Bugis Junction)
Specialty: Battered Dory & Onion Fritters burger/Spicy Unagi rice platter/Fresh and juciy salmon, dory and sea bass.
4. Haji Lane - Arab Street
From Queen Street to Arab Street, we walked 800 meters sebab nak explore kawasan situ.
Price around $1-3 macamtu. Nanti turun kat Stamford Primary School. Dari situ nak ke Arab Street walking distance cuma 3 minutes which is 277 meters.
Haji Lane is one of the best and hottest spots in the city! Lots of quirky cafes and boutique. Very recommended for unique Instagram shot.
Then we stop by at Wardah Books at Bussorah Street. Haziqah bought something useful to read, can't remember the book title. I love this bookstore! The shelves are full of books on wide range of topics.
We went to Sultan Mosque to perform Zuhr prayer before we off to Zam Zam Restaurant for our lunch time.
Around 2 minutes walking distance from the mosque to the Zam Zam Restaurant. One of the famous restaurant at Arab Street.

Bugis Junction Mall. Walking distance je dengan Bugis Street. Kalau rasa penat berjalan kat Bugis Street, boleh lah singgah mall untuk rehat ambik udara sejuk aircond. |
Masa ni ada festival kat Bugis Junction Mall. Seronok tengok local people main game kat situ. |
